Moving Through Loneliness: Stories of Seniors and Isolation
Over a period of six months we worked with the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History and a cohort of seniors and advocates to create a installation which features video (all the time) and live performance (some of the time). Collaborators include Kate Edmunds (Installation Design), Mara Milam, (Filmmaker), Jonathan Segel (Music/Sound Score), and an intergenerational group of performers. We will improvise live in the installation on First Fridays, April - January, from 6:00-7:00pm.

Aikido for Movement Artists
Cid will teach a weeklong workshop at NOTAFE. We will focus on empty hand techniques (Taijutsu), Bo (long staff) practice, and use Aikido techniques and movement philosophies to inform our improvisation practice.

CPP has been collaborating with cellist/composer Joan Jeanrenaud since 2004. This evening of work features three of our past collaborations and one new work. The program includes 2004's Strange Toys, 2006's Horton nominated small variations, and excerpts from 2013's Your Body is Not a Shark (in collaboration with poet Denise Leto).

In collaboration with UCSC dance students and CPP company members, choreographer Cid Pearlman created an interdisciplinary performance informed by Maggie Nelson’s book length poem Bluets. Visual Design by Kate Edmunds, with an original score by composer Jonathan Segel (Camper Van Beethoven). This is part of a large, multi-city project, which will happen over the next few years - more soon about this! Also on the program is small variations performed by Cid Pearlman Performance. Nominated for LA’s Horton Award in 2006, small variations features original music by composer/cellist Joan Jeanrenaud.
